A Friend by My Side: The Final Days Before Paris

The closer I get to Paris, the more real this move feels. For so long, it was just a plan—an idea that lived in my head, a dream in the works. But now, with my bags packed and my goodbyes mostly said, I’m in New York, spending a few days with one of my dearest friends before making the final leap.

She’s been with me every step of the way, flying from Los Angeles to meet me here, making sure I have support during this transition. I can’t tell you how much comfort that brings. Big changes are daunting, no matter how prepared you think you are. But having someone who knows you, who understands what you need without you having to say it—that’s a gift.

Over the next few days, we’ll explore the city, soak in every moment, and maybe even raise a glass to what’s ahead. She’ll be flying to Paris with me, helping me settle in, and ensuring that I don’t unravel in those first overwhelming days. Because no matter how independent I am, it’s moments like these that remind me: we aren’t meant to go through life’s biggest transitions alone.
What’s a major life change you’ve gone through? Did you have someone by your side to help you through it? I’d love to hear in the comments.
Also, don’t forget! The Silver & Sensational Chic Essentials Giveaway is still open! Three lucky winners will receive a Lululemon belt bag filled with goodies. Don’t miss your chance to enter!
